Service Advisor

Keith White Ford Service Advisor has the opportunity to interact with customers to build loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Keith White Ford as a care-giver for their vehicle safety and reliability. This role requires someone who is passionate about taking care of the customer and helping them turn an unpleasant event into a positive experience. This role requires juggling many customers, priorities, communication and follow-up throughout the day.

This position interacts daily with customers, technicians, parts associates, cashiers, service manager, sales professionals and dealership managers.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Setting, confirming and preparing for appointments with customers to expedite their service experience
  • Greeting customers in a timely and friendly manner
  • Determining vehicle needs based on customer information and a vehicle walk-around
  • Using a consultative selling process to assist customers in planning for on-going required maintenance of their vehicle
  • Producing repair orders for customers with full transparency including cost and time estimates
  • Communicating frequently with technicians and parts associates to ensure timely completion of work
  • Follow-up with customers on the status of their vehicle, based on how the customer wants to be informed
  • Creating a great vehicle delivery experience for the customer
  • Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Setting and achieving targeted sales goals
  • Gaining superior product knowledge to effectively help customers with service maintenance requirements and warranty information
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

What are the requirements for this job?

Parts Counter



The Parts Advisor / Counter person is responsible for assisting all mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. The Parts Advisor is also responsible for achieving monthly sales and gross forecasts and for seeking out and soliciting parts business. The Parts Advisor reports directly to the Parts Manager.

Job duties for a parts advisor include:

· Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for a dealership.

· Locating available parts when the dealership is out of stock.

· Handling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department and repair shop.

· Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturer from time to time, and completing the appropriate record keeping.

· Referring to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced.

· Maintain part inventory in warehouse

· Receive shipments and organize accordingly.

Job Requirements

As an Automotive Parts Advisor, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Parts Advisor:

· Must have at least 1 year of experience in an auto parts sales role.

· Must have computer proficiency.

· Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service

· Valid driver's license

Certified Mechanic

Keith White Ford is looking for an experienced automotive technician. We are a family owned dealership that treats employees like family. We need experienced technicians to join our team. 

 

Summary

The Service Technician position performs vehicle service and repair work as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards.  The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the requisite technical knowledge and skill to efficiently and accurately repair vehicles.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Perform vehicle maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.

·         Diagnose cause of malfunction and repair; determine any additional needed repairs.

·         Maintain and develop technical knowledge of vehicle systems including, but not limited to: drivability, electrical, major engine mechanical, A/C, brakes, suspension, transmission, OBD-II and general vehicle maintenance systems.

·         Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.

·         Notify service advisor immediately if additional repair is required or not needed.

·         Notify service advisor immediately if repairs can't be completed within time promised.

·         Document all work performed on the RO including recording cause of failure.  

·         Maintain the highest possible standards of workmanship; perform quality checks.  

·         Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.

·         Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean and are only driven for business purpose.

·         Keep shop area neat, clean; must account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.

·         Stay current in the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques across a number of brands; stay informed of latest bulletins, service manuals and other service publications.

·         Participate in service training activities; attend factory- sponsored training classes.

·         Communicate regularly with service advisor/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information.

·         Meet customer service standards by achieving 'above district' customer service information "CSI" scores.   

·         Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition; immediately report safety incidents.

·         Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state 

·         and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.

·         Safeguard dealership assets and customer data. 

·         Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.

·         Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.

·         Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Keith White values and reputation.

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

 Qualifications

·         High School diploma or equivalent

·         Graduate of mechanical vocational trade school or equivalent

·         experience required

·         Certification required  

·         Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

·         Successful completion of pre-employment screening
